Puppy training begins Aug. 21

Aug. 21, 28 Sept. 4, 11 1:00 PM

Dog owners who wish to train their puppy(s) through positive reinforcement will want to attend All About the Dog, a series of four Saturday afternoon training sessions, each lasting about an 60 to 90 minutes.

This course will focus on creating a confident, well-behaved, happy puppy that will thrive in the human world. Handlers will learn how to best communicate with their puppy and how to best train desired behaviors, with an emphasis on self control, focus, "leave it", loose-leash walking, housetraining, crate training, puppy play, and greeting behaviors.

Classes will be held outdoors or, in the event of inclement weather, in the barn.

Preferably, puppies will be seven weeks old to five months old. All puppies must have received their first and second rounds of immunizations to participate. Class is limited to one puppy per owner. Class limit is six puppies.

Members: $110 (does not include harness) or $135 (includes purchase of harness) Non-members: $120 (does not include harness) or $145 (includes purchase of harness)
